Use this form to assign an hourly rate or shift differentials for employee's who have earnings codes with the Rate on Timesheet calculation method.

Earnings Code: Select the earnings code for the employee's timesheet when the Rate on Timesheet calculation method is selected. You can specify the earnings code more than once if you specify a particular cost center for the associated rate.

Cost Center: Enter a cost center or select one from the drop down list. To apply the rate to all cost centers for the specified earnings code, use an asterisk (*). If you apply the rate to all cost centers, you should only specify the earnings code once.

Hourly Rate: Enter the base hourly rate for the selected Earnings Code and Cost Center. This field is optional. If you select the Use Employee Rate option, MIP Accounting uses the hourly rate effective in the Payroll module when the timesheet is submitted.

Use Employee Rate: Select this check box to use the current hourly rate from the Payroll module as the base rate for this Earnings Code and Cost Center.

Shift Diff Percent: Select this check box to apply a shift differential percentage to the base rate (either Hourly Rate or Employee Rate) for this earnings rate.

Shift Diff: Enter the shift differential that applies to this earning rate in decimal format. If Shift Diff Percent is checked, this value will be applied as a percentage of the base rate to the timesheet entries that specify the associated Earnings Code and Cost Center.

Active: Select this check box to indicate that this earning rate is active and should be used when the employee enters time against the specified Earnings Code and Cost Center.
