What information do I need to complete on a requisition in order to check budget and encumbrance balances?
In order to check budget and encumbrance balances for a requisition, you must enter a G/L Code, Quantity, and Unit Price on the Activities>Create/Approve Requisitions>Item Detail tab (the Distribution Code is required when an Item Code selected is an Inventory or Inventory Assembly Type).
Does the budget and encumbrance balance check include the current requisition?
Yes.
My budget checking only includes G/L, how can I see my department (or other segments)?
To include additional segments in the budget checking, with Administrative user rights, you need to select them on the Organization>Set Up Modules>Budget>Primary Budget Controls.
