Messages during Posting and Saving

When I attempt to save/post my A/R transaction, I get the following message: "At least one detail transaction line to Accounts Receivable - Customer type account is required for this document." What is wrong?

You are missing an "A/R type" General Ledger account in your invoice. If you are using what you believed to be an A/R type account, check the account type by printing the Reports>Lists>Chart of Accounts report. You must use an A/R type of account, since this is the account type that is tied to the subledger.

I try to save/post my A/R invoice and get the following message: "The net of the Accounts Receivable - Customers detail transaction lines does not equal the document amount." What can I do?

Your document amount must be equal to the net of transactions coded to all A/R type accounts. Review your debits and credits to make sure they are correct and that the net transactions to the A/R type of accounts are equal to the amount of the invoice. However, for A/R Receipts, you can enter a 0.00 amount if all debits and credits balance.

When I attempt to process my invoices, I get the message: "The following offset requests cannot be found for transaction type A/R System Generated Invoices:" Why am I getting this message?

When processing invoices, we create the accounting transactions for you using the charge code and distribution information you supplied (for the Revenue portion of the entry) as well as the offset assignments (for the A/R side of the entry). To create the offsetting debit side of the entry to A/R, the system will use the offset account assignments created using the Maintain>Offset Account Assignments form. Receiving this error message during the billing process is an indication that you are missing at least one of the offset account assignments (the accounts that are missing assignments, typically, are listed as part of this error message).
