What are the acceptable values for fields I am importing?

To view all the tables and fields in the system, with Administrative user rights, use the Organization>Default Table Structure form. It is a good idea to filter by module, and then print the data on the form. The form contains columns for the table name, field name, field description, field size, and module. The description field contains all acceptable values for the field.

What modules have items that can be imported into the system?

Items can be imported into the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, Purchase Orders, Electronic Funds Transfer for A/P, and Payroll modules.

When importing currency amounts, how does the system handle decimals?

Decimal points can be explicitly noted in the external data file, for example, $100 (USD) would be noted as 100.00. An implied number of decimal places can be specified in the definition file.

If my data is formatted in two-digit years (such as mm/dd/yy), How does the system read it?

Two-digit year values require special handling. If the two-digit year is greater than or equal to 50, then the date is assumed to be in the 1900s. If the two-digit year is greater than or equal to 00 and less than or equal to 49, then the date is assumed to be in the 2000s.
