For all templates:
Because donors often give more than one gift during
a specified time frame, it is important that user options be set to allow multiples for ALL Comparison reports.
Comparison reports generally should
include deceased constituents giving, since they may be recently
deceased but gave a gift during the specified time.
This set of standard formats generally show a count
of the donors (constituents) who have given during certain time periods,
regardless of the number of transactions each donor 'owns'. Totals for
these counts are based on the numbers of unique constituents, not a simple
sum of the numbers in the fields or cross tabs on the reports.

Purpose and Description:

This report provides a comparison of transactions
from two different time periods, organized according to Tender. It calculates
total giving (monies received) for the prompted periods, shows the number
of donors represented, and calculates the differences between the two
periods.

Criteria:

This criteria selects two groups of Gift data rows.
Each group consists of transactions with a Type of gift, bequest, or pledge
payment and with a Process Date between two prompted dates.
