Accessing the Custom Display Designer

Only Millennium system administrators or the database administrator can access the Custom Display Designer.

Note: The first time you access the Custom Display Designer, the system requests that run an installation program to create the customized displays. You must agree to the installation for the Custom Display Designer to work.

To open the Custom Display Designer, use the following steps:

In Millennium Explorer, select Tools>Display Design.
Select the area that you want to modify: Profiles, Events, Lookups, or Searches.
In the Custom Display Designer, use the Edit menu () in the title bar to select a form to modify. The forms available on the menu depend on the area selected in the previous step.

When you click Save, the custom display is saved and the Custom Display Designer remains on the saved view. If you navigate away from the Custom Display Designer and then return, the Long display is shown by default.

Tips:

The elements of the Custom Display Designer are not available until you load a form and its display definition.
To exit the Custom Display Designer, select your next task from the Millennium Explorer.
If a form does not allow a customized display, the Customized Display option in display definition is disabled.
