Add a Separator Line to a Maintenance Form
You can use separator lines to help organize a form into sections. The line is only available for forms that can be saved as Maintenance forms (Long, Maintenance, and eDirectory).
Use the following steps to add a separator line to a Maintenance form:
- In Millennium Explorer, select Tools>Display Design.
- Select the area that you want to modify: Profiles, Events, Lookups, or Searches.
- In the Custom Display Designer, use the Edit menu (
) in the title bar to select a form to modify. The forms available on the menu depend on the area selected in the previous step.
- Select the form view you want to edit (Default Display or Customized Display).
- Use the Display Type menu next to the Available Fields list to select the Maintenance layout you want to edit (Long, Maintenance, or eDirectory). Separator lines only appear on forms that can be saved as Maintenance forms.
- Select the LINE item from the Available Fields list.
Note: If the form has not been customized, the Customized Display option is disabled. Any changes you make are saved as the customized display.
Note: The LINE field is a wide field. Only one line can be placed on a row, but you can place as many separator lines on the form as you like.
- If necessary, use the Move Up and Move Down row properties to reposition the line.
- Click Save to save your customizations.
