Delete Reports

Delete unused report criteria and out-of-date published reports from the system through the Reporting World. Delete criteria one report at a time by using Millennium Explorer, Reporting > Edit Criteria. Delete published reports one report at a time by using Millennium Explorer, Reporting > View Report. Report Administrators and Millennium system administrators can delete multiple report criteria and published reports by using Millennium Explorer, Reporting > Search Reports.

A non-administrator user can only delete the report criteria and published reports that he or she owns. Report and Millennium system administrators can delete criteria and published reports that are owned by any user.

Delete Report Criteria from Edit Criteria

  1. Log on to the system as any user.
  2. On Millennium Explorer, click Reporting, and then click Edit Criteria.
  3. Click the name of the Category (also known as Library) in which the report is located - Biographical, Comparison, Daily, Event, Financial, Mailing, Membership, Pledge, or Tracking.
  4. On Edit <Category Name> Reports page, click the name of the Report Group in which the report is located. You will see only the names of the Report Groups that your user name has security rights to access.
  5. A list of reports in the Report Group displays. A Delete Report Button is located next to the name of all of the reports that you are allowed to delete.
  6. Choose the report that you want to delete, and click .
  7. A message box displays, confirming your intention to delete the report. Click OK.

Tip: Click ALL Groups to list all of the reports that have been stored in the selected library, You will see only the reports in the report groups that your user name has rights to access.

Delete Published Reports from View Report

  1. Log on to the system as any user.
  2. On Millennium Explorer, click Reporting, and then click View Reports.
  3. Click the name of the Category (also known as Library) in which the report is located - Biographical, Comparison, Daily, Event, Financial, Mailing, Membership, Pledge, or Tracking.
  4. On View <Category Name> Reports page, click the name of the Report Group in which the report is located. You will see only the names of the Report Groups that your user name has security rights to access.
  5. A list of reports in the Report Group displays. A Delete Report Button is located next to the name of all of the reports that you are allowed to delete.
  6. Choose the report that you want to delete, and click .
  7. A message box displays, confirming your intention to delete the report. Click OK.

Tip: Click ALL Groups to list all of the reports that have been stored in the selected library, You will see only the reports in the report groups that your user name has rights to access.

Delete Report Criteria and Published Reports from Search Reports

  1. Log on to the system as a Report Administrator or a Millennium system administrator.
  2. On Millennium Explorer, click Reporting, and then click Search Reports.
  3. In the Report name field, enter the name, or partial name, of the report that you want to view. Wildcards (% and _) are permitted in the report name field.
  4. Accept the default Type of All if you want to delete both report criteria and published reports. If you want to delete only report criteria, select Edit/Run. If you want to delete only published reports, then select View.
  5. If desired, narrow results by selecting a last run date or date range, a specific report category (library) from the Category list, and specific report group from the Group list.
  6. Click Search. A list of all reports that meet the criteria is displayed. Report criteria are listed under Edit/Run. Published reports are listed under View.
  7. Select the check box next to the names of the reports that you want to delete.
  8. Click Delete.

    Caution! You will not be given the opportunity to confirm your intention to delete the selected reports!
