Reassigning Prospects

The Prospect Manager Reassignment form allows you to move a group of prospects from one Prospect Manager to another.

For example, if a Prospect Manager leaves an organization, you can use the Prospect Manager Reassignment form to move groups of prospects to a new Prospect Manager. You can also use the Prospect Manager Reassignment form to move prospects assigned to one Prospect Manager to a different Prospect Manager.

Before You Begin

Reassigning Prospects

When you reassign prospects, you move a prospect or group of prospects from one Prospect Manager to another. Before you reassign prospects, ensure the Millennium user ID used to reassign prospects meets prospect reassignment requirements. Also ensure that the Prospect Manager to whom the prospects will be reassigned is a constituent.

Note: If you do not see the Reassign option in Millennium Explorer, the constituent ID associated with your Millennium user ID has not been configured with the appropriate Relationship Type pairings. For more information about Relationship Type pairings, see Relationships.

To reassign prospects, use the following steps:

  1. Access the Prospect Manager Reassignment form by using Millennium Explorer>Favorites>Prospects>Reassign. For more information about Prospect Management Roles, see Prospect Management Relationships.
  2. Select the Prospect Type to show in the Existing Manager Prospects list. The default value is ALL, but you can limit the search to Prospects or Potential Prospects.
  3. In the Existing Manager field, select the existing Prospect Manager who has prospects you want to assign to a new Prospect Manager from the list.
  4. In the New Manager field, specify the new Prospect Manager to whom you want to move the prospects, as follows:
    1. Select either All Constituents to search all records in the database, or Prospect Managers, to search only those constituents with the Prospect Manager role.
    2. Type either the constituent ID, or the constituent name (Last Name/First Name) in the New Manager field. You can enter a partial last name to search for matching names in the database.
    3. Click Search. If a single record is found, the system populates the New Manager field with the constituent ID and full name. If multiple records match your search, the New Manager Search window lists all the matches. Select a constituent from the list and click OK to proceed.
  5. In the Existing Manager Prospects list, select the prospects that you want to move to the new Prospect Manager, and then click Add. If you want to move all of the existing Prospect Manager prospects to the new Prospect Manager, click Add All.
  6. Click Start. Millennium moves the prospects from the existing Prospect Manager to the new Prospect Manager.
  7. Click Close.
