Online Constituent Directory Set Up

You must be logged on as a system administrator to access the Online Constituent Directory configuration components.

The constituent directory portion of the Online Directory component of Millennium allows your constituents to view and submit edits for his or her own data as shown in the directory. Your constituents will also have the ability to search for other constituents and to view selected portions of the data from the Millennium database belonging to those constituents, and to make online donations. This topic includes sections describing the Setup of the options affecting the Online Constituent Directory. Closely related topics discuss:

It is most important to know that when this feature was first incorporated in to the software, new fields were added and all existing constituent information was set to Publish to start with. You may use the System Options for Publishing Tables, described below, to control from this point forward what information will and will not be published. Any future constituents that are added to Millennium will have their Basic Data publish columns (corepubXX) populated Y or N in accordance with these System Options for Publishing Tables settings.

The publish flags for each data table that is a part of the Online Constituent Directory were also set to Publish when this feature was first incorporated in the software. From this point forward, if the System Options for Publishing Tables for a data table is set to Publish by Consent, the publish flags for each data table will be populated to show what the constituent chooses, via his or her Constituent Global Publishing Options.

Setup

The Online Directory Setup includes the following functions:

AFO Forms - This allows you insert forms created in Community Brands Fundraising Online, so that constituents can donate to fundraising campaigns or register for events directly from Millennium constituent pages. The data from the forms is then transferred back to AFO, for management and reporting purposes.

Appearance - This allows you to define backgrounds, and font size, type and colors for the display of directory information.

Define Filters - This allows you to define Filters for each of the data tables used in the directory.

Define Sorts - This allows you to define the Sort order for each data table used in the directory.

Email Setup - This allows you to setup an email address which will be used as the sender of information when the constituent forgets his or her password and/or user name.

Login Creation Utility - This allows you to create start up User IDs and passwords for your constituency.

Online Constituent Directory Log In and Authentication - The Login Creation Utility lets you establish rules about user names and passwords when constituents register with the Online Constituent Website.

Options for Publishing Tables - This system setting allows you to control the data publishing and editing options that the constituents will have.

Other options - There are additional factors which you may control but which are not directly accessed via Online Constituent Directory or Advanced Data Examiner Setup.
