Tools World

The Tools World of Millennium is primarily the domain of the system administrator at your institution. Most of the functions and activities that take place within this world are for the purpose of setting up, maintaining, and diagnosing situations within your system.

Batch Control provides an easy access to the two lookup tables that deal with batch numbers, namely Gift Batch Numbers and Dues Batch Numbers. While these are lookup tables, their maintenance is removed from the other Profiles Lookup table maintenance function to provide a shortcut access that allows a gift processing clerk an easy way to create and close batch numbers, without opening the Lookup Tables branch of the Tools World.

Custom Lookups provides access to the set of Custom lookup tables. Each data table includes a set of custom-use fields of various types, including three for each table that are lookup table driven. Your institution may choose to activate any of those fields to hold additional information for any data table. This item in the Tools World provides access to the lookup tables that are available for that purpose.

Event Lookups provides access to the full descriptions of each of the lookup tables used in the Events World. It also provides access to the display pages and maintenance forms necessary to create, edit, or delete these lookup table rows.

Membership Lookups provides access to the full descriptions of each of the lookup tables used in the Membership system within the Profiles World. It also provides access to the display pages and maintenance forms necessary to create, edit, or delete these lookup table rows.

Profiles Lookups provides access to the full descriptions of each of the lookup tables used in the Profiles World, (except for those lookup tables that are exclusive to the Membership system). It also provides access to the display pages and maintenance forms necessary to create, edit, or delete these lookup table rows.

Report Groups provides access to the specialized lookup table, Report Groups. This table provides a means of categorizing and securing report criteria and/or published report results, in addition to the libraries that are part of the Reporting World.

Custom Utilities provides access from within Millennium to your site's In-house, customized utilities and other site-specific applications that are external to the Millennium interface.

Correct Gift Match provides access to the functions involved in importing HEP data regarding matching gift employers for use with Millennium. It also offers a means of viewing that data.

Data Examiner provides access to the functions involved in setting up the Advanced Data Examiner, and access to the Examiner program that will import data edits and online giving transactions made via the Online Constituent Directory website, import data that has been inserted into pending tables via the Advanced Data Examiner Import Tool, or confirm transactions entered into Millennium by Soft Edit users.

Online Directory provides access to the functions involved in setting up the Online Constituent Directory website including a constituent directory based on the Millennium database, and the ability to import data edits and online giving transactions made via that website into the database.

SPS provides access to the tools used by Paya Payment Solutions for the electronic processing of credit card and bank draft transactions. These tools let you verify and process pledge payments, import account expiration from the SPS Account Updater, and access SPS directly through a Virtual Terminal.

Display Design provides access to the functions involved in using the Custom Display Designer (Customizer) to customize the Profiles, Events and Lookups Data Display screens and Maintenance Forms, and the Searches screens for the entire institution.

DonorSearch is a prospect research service that provides access to donor intelligence data through their API. If your organization has access to DonorSearch, use your organization's credentials to connect the service to your Millennium account.

System Upkeep provides access to several Millennium components. Some of these are used to define institutional preferences for system behaviors (for example, display of search results) and Millennium user password options as well. Access these components via System Options. Some components are used by the Community Brands Consultant or your system administrator to set up and maintain behind-the-scenes workings of the system. These functions include the System Info page that is used to register the locations of the necessary files, programs, and other components that are needed by Millennium; User Security which registers all who will be users of the system, and provides a means of setting up Database Groups; and providing access to Millennium Utilities. Diagnostics provides a set of tools to help system administrators troubleshoot SQL Server database issues. The View Users tool lets you see the Millennium users currently logged into the system or those who are locked out of the system.
